Important information for your holiday in Santa Valburga in the Ultental Valley

Cancellation conditions

  • in times of Covid: Money-back guarantee: In the event of border closures, travel bans on entering South Tyrol, officially imposed hotel closures, quarantine or new lockdown established by the government, we offer you the following alternatives:
- You can change your booking in our hotel to a different period– doesn‘t have to be now, you can also do it later. In this case, your deposit will be credited to your next holiday at Hotel Schweigl.
- You can cancel your stay free of charge and get the deposit back. In this case, please send us your bank details (IBAN and BIC).
- Should the government announce any border closures during your stay, of course you can leave at any time and the days bookes and not enjoyed will be cancelled free of charge.

Cancellation due to Covid-19 illness: To protect yourself financially in such cases, we recommend you to take out a travel cancellation insurance with the "Europäische Reiseversicherung" (see below).

  • Should you have to cancel your holiday at 3-star superior Hotel Schweigl for any other reason, our regular cancellation conditions apply:
Up to 2 months before arrival: free of charge
2 months - 31 days before arrival: 40% of the total amount
30 - 8 days before arrival: 70% of the total amount
Within 7 days before arrival: 90% of the total amount
Late arrival, early departure & no-show: 100% of the total amount for booked and not enjoyed days

Check-In & Check-Out

On the day of arrival, your room will be available from approx. 1 pm. On the day of departure, please vacate your room before 10 am.

Deposit

In order to confirm your booking, we ask you to pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount of your stay by bank transfer or credit card charge.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on request and subject to availability of the rooms! We charge € 5,00 per day (without food) incl. final cleaning. Out of respect for other other guests, dogs are not allowed to enter the restaurant, the wellness area and the playroom. Thank you for your understanding!

Parking

You can park your car free of charge in our car park, which is mostly covered.

Payment options

You can pay in cash (up to € 1.000), by cheque, debit card (EC) or credit card (except American Express & Diners Club).

Smoking

Please understand that smoking is not allowed in the entire house and therefore also in all our rooms.

Unfortunatelym we are not always able to confirm specific room numbers or floors. However, we always do our best to accommodate your requests.

Travel cancellation insurance via Europäische Reiseversicherung

And if something unforeseen happens, which prevents you from leavinf for your holiday or forces you to make an early return? Protect yourself by booking a travel cancellation insurance (at a price of approx. 5% of the holiday amount). Calculate premium and book via Europäische Reiseversicherung.

Tourist tax

The tourist tax amounts to € 2.00 per person/day and has to be paid directly on site. Children up to 13 years of age are exempt from paying this tax.

Sometimes it’s nice to connect with the outside world even when you’re on holiday. That's why free WiFi is available in the whole Hotel Schweigl.

What do I need to enter South Tyrol?
Good questions! We have the answer ...
Adults with 2G proof (vaccinated or recovered):
  • Proof required:
  • Proof of a complete Corona vaccination with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), which must not be older than 9 months, or
  • Proof of recovery from a Covid 19 infection within the last 6 months
  • To Mandatory test: Proof of a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 48 hours, or a negative antigen test, which must not be older than 24 hours.
  • Mandatory registration: Before entering Italy, online registration via the European Digital Passenger Localisation Form (dPLF) must be completed. In case of control, the confirmation email on the smartphone is sufficient as proof. In exceptional cases, i.e. exclusively in case of technical impediments, it is possible to fill in the self-declaration in paper form.
Adults without 2G proof:
  • Mandatory test: Proof of a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 48 hours, or a negative antigen test, which must not be older than 24 hours.
  • Mandatory registration: Before entering Italy, online registration via the European Digital Passenger Localisation Form (dPLF) must be completed. In case of control, the confirmation email on the smartphone is sufficient as proof.   • Mandatory isolation: undergo self-isolation for a period of 5 days. Further Covid-19 test: further smear test (molecular or antigen test) after the 5-day quarantine period.
Entry for minors:
  • Minors up to 17 years of age (not completed 18 years of age) travelling with a parent who is exempt from isolation on the basis of a vaccination certificate or convalescence certificate are also exempt from isolation.
  • Children over 6 years of age must in any case present proof of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours or a negative antigen test not older than 24 hours to enter the country.
  • Children under 6 years of age are exempt from this requirement.

breakfast and dinner salads are served in buffet form, in compliance with the obligation to wear masks and disinfect hands. Do you prefer to be served at the table? Just let us know! Tables are of course distanced and our service staff is provided with the appropriate protective equipment.
